Sandra Meadows Classic - News

The dates for this year's tournament are December 29-31, 2008.

All games games will be played in the Sandra Meadows Arena Complex. The three competition gyms in the complex make it a "one stop shop" for all tournament games.

Once again the Duncanville Lion's Club will be running the concession stands and we will make every endeavor to make sure you stay refreshed.

If you are looking for other dining opportunities, we will have an informational booth manned and we will have maps, directions and menus for the establishments in the area.

The Hilton Garden Inn, Best Western Inn & Suites, and the Holiday Inn Express will be our tournament hotels and we hope your stay for the tournament can be relaxing and comfortable.

Houston Bellaire's 55-44 victory over Frisco in the 57th Annual Sandra Meadows Classic marked the second year in a row that the tournament was won by a team from the Houston area.

Westside beat Duncanville 52-44 in 2006.

Bellaire had victories over Mesquite Horn, Fayetteville, Arkansas, Fort Bend Willowridge and Seton Keough to advance to the finals to play Frisco.

Frisco defeated Mesquite, Plano East, Coppell and Duncanville to advance to the finals.

In the 3rd and 4th place game Duncanville defeated Seaton Keough 53-49.
