The 58th Annual Sandra Meadows Classic will be held on December 29-31, 2008. Yes, that is right, the championship game wil be played on New Year's Eve. Four states will again be represented in this year's Classic field of 32 teams. Along with seven new teams participating in the classic. As always the competition of this year's tournament has increased and will continue to keep the great tradition of the Sandra Meadows Classic as the best holiday tournament for girl's basketball. The Duncanville Lion's Club is proud to partner with the DISD Athletic Department, the City of Duncanville and Coach Cathy-Self Morgan to make this one of the elite tournaments in the nation. Please watch the updates on the website as we hope to announce a corporate sponsor in the near future. During the three days you spend with us at the Sandra Meadows Arena, we want to help make your visit pleasant and memorable. If you have any questions or need any help, see us at our information table or talk to any one wearing a Lion's Club badge. Houston Bellaire will return this year to defend their championship. Seton Keough is again traveling from Baltimore, Maryland. Fayetteville, the state runner-up in Arkansas and Quachita Parish from Monroe, Lousiana will makeup the three teams from outside of Texas.
