Another deep field set for 61st Meadows Classic - ESPN Dallas/Ft.Worth

Another deep field of 32 teams will participate in the 61st edition of the event, utilizing the three-gymnasium complex at Duncanville High School. Starting with opening tip off at 9 a.m. Tuesday until Thursday’s 7:30 p.m. championship, 61 games will be played.

The top 3 private schools in Texas according to TABC are playing in the Sandra Meadows Classic and there is a possibility that #1 Westbury Christian and #2 John Paul II could meet in the second round while #3 Bishop Lynch could face one of the top private schools from Louisiana, St. Thomas More. 

Lady Dragons take on Sandra Meadows tournament

Southlake Carroll's early season roll has been expected.The girls basketball team has ripped through competition en route to a 17-0 record and a No. 2 state-ranking. They have won two tournaments (Colleyville, Bishop Lynch) and one shootout in the Panhandle.They'll be fine-tuning their game when they hit the court this week (Dec. 27-29) for the Sandra Meadows Classic in Duncanville in their third tournament of the season. In the most recent Texas Association of Basketball Caoches poll, the Lady Dragons moved past Duncanville for the second spot in the state. The Lady Dragons return four of five starters and expect to do well in the prestigious event in Duncanville.
